The net exam will be conducted in 2 sessions. First session has 2 papers: Paper I and Paper II while the second session has only one a Paper that is paper III. Both sessions will be held on the same day. This article gives you CBSE NET Forensic Science Syllabus 2018 about Forensic science. Unit 1- forensic science: history, purpose, growth and future, investigation and crime scene management, the collection of evidence for physical and trace analysis.
Unit 2- Microscopy: fluorescent and electron microscopes, polarizing, comparison, UV, visible, atomic absorption of infrared rays, Activation analysis of neutron, X- ray, NMR, GLC, GCMS, TLC, HPLC, low and a high voltage of electrophoresis.
Unit 3- a grouping of a fresh blood sample which also includes enzyme type, maternity and paternity problems of disputed cases, profiling of DNA.
Unit 4- Analysis of liquor that has methyl and ethyl alcohol and body fluids that have alcohol, petroleum products analysis, chemical examination of pesticides and insecticides, poison identification, analysis of tissues and body fluids.
Unit 5- identification of firearms, their components, velocity, dispersion, determination of range, accidental discharge.
Unit 6- species origin determination, sex and site identification, identification of individual from hair, fibre classification, urine, saliva, milk and facial matter identification.
Unit 7- physically analysis of following things- paints, shoe prints, tire marks, glass, soil, ink, papers, vehicle examination in case of an accident.
Unit 8- individual identification from bodily features, footprints, teeth, skeletal.
Unit 9- addition, secret writing, charter documents, scientific examination of ink and papers.
Unit 10- wounds medicolegal aspects, sexual harassment, post mortem.
