Marking Scheme CBSE NET - Negative MarkingThe candidates have many queries about the exam scheme, the subjects, the number of questions and particularly about the marking scheme and negative marking. The paper pattern and the marking scheme of the CBSE NET Marking Scheme 2018 are given below. The NET exam consists of three papers. All the three papers will consist only objective type questions.

Paper I: The paper I is in general nature. It is to test the teaching and research aptitude of the candidates. It contains 60 multiple choice questions. Every question carries 2 marks. The candidates have to answer 50 questions.

Paper II: The paper II has 50 multiple choice questions and the candidates have to attend the 50 questions compulsorily. Each question carries 2 marks.

Paper III: The third paper consists of 75 questions. The part III questions carry 2 marks for each question.

For general category candidates, the minimum marks to be scored is 40% in the paper I and 40% in paper II and 50% in paper III.

For PWD, SC, ST, and OBC non- creamy layer candidates the minimum marks to score is 35% in the paper I and 35% in paper II and 60% in paper III.
